Isoko National Youth Congress Inaugurates new Esco.

RIV: The members representing Isoko North Constituency and Isoko South Constituency One in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Bernard Idior and Hon Bino Obowomano have advised the new executive of Isoko National Youth Council to mobilize Isoko youths to embrace education and skills acquisition programmes to become self-reliant.

Honorables Idior and Obowomano gave the advice during the inauguration of the executive of INYC, at Ozoro.

Speaking shortly after the inauguration of the Comrade Festus Edigbe-led Executive of Isoko National Youth Congress, INYC, the members representing Isoko North Constituency and Isoko South Constituency One in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Bernard Idior and Hon Bino Obowomano noted that youths are the life wire of any society hence should be given their pride of place in the scheme of things.

The lawmakers said the state government has put in place various programs and policies for the advancement of youths in the state.

They urged the leadership of Isoko National Youth Congress INYC to take advantage of these programmes to equip the youths in Isoko land.

Honorable Idior and Honorable Obowomano advised the new executive to make education and skills acquisition the major focus of their programs.

The Commissioner representing Isoko Ethnic Nationality on the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Chief Victor Egbo and  Hon Kennedy Obodo who chaired the event urged Isoko youths to be united and rally round the new executive to enable them succeed.

Immediate past President of Isoko National Youth Congress, INYC, Comrade Matthew Edugbo thanked Isoko youths for the opportunity to serve and urged them to support the new executive.

Chairman of Isoko National Youth Congress, INYC, Comrade Festus Edigbe thanked Isoko youths for the confidence reposed in him and promised not to disappoint them.

Comrade Edigbe noted that despite the huge oil deposits and exploration taking place in Isokoland, there is no visible federal government presence in terms of infrastructural development in Isokoland.

He said the executive of INYC will work with relevant stakeholders to address this anomaly and promised to unite youths in Isokoland.

Prof Hilary Owamah in a lecture called for a purposeful and result-oriented youth leadership in Isokoland.
